The Ottawa Chamber of Voluntary Organizations – OCVO – is a coalition of community organizations in Ottawa working together to have a greater impact on our city and our sector. We are urging all nonprofits in Ottawa to join OCVO, to work together and to add your voice to the rest of civil society in Ottawa.
OCVO includes organizations from all fields of activity and works on issues that affect us all by:

Access to local and national research
Access to information relevant to the nonprofit sector
Educational resources
Sharing resources
Share and learn best practices
Participate in networking events, focus groups, committees and surveys that address issues facing the nonprofit sector in Ottawa
Develop and put forward positions on local issues that affect the sector as a whole
Collaborate with other nonprofits and build partnerships within and across the nonprofit sector
As part of OCVO, collaborate with sector coalitions in other cities on broader issues of collective concern

There are many ways that voluntary sector organizations can work together more effectively to positively impact Ottawa’s vitality. There are already many organizations in Ottawa working together to create a more vibrant, healthy and effective voluntary sector for Ottawa.
